I am involved with Kid's Club through CEF. There is a gal here who puts a lot of time and effort into organizing our wonderful junior high and high school kids who teach our little ones. Our three girls love it! We try to have Kid's Club every Friday when it works at the school, but on Good Friday we had an Easter celebration at our church instead. We sang songs, told the Easter story, made a cinnamon bunl type thing with a marshmallow in it and talked about how the marshmallow symbolized the body of Jesus, the butter and cinnamon sugar mixture was like the oil and spices Jesus' body was anointed with, the dough was like the tomb, and the cavity in the bun when it was done cooking was like the empty tomb....and then we had a big Easter egg hunt! We had quite a few kids show up and I think they had a lot of fun!
Some kids listening to an Easter story Martin is telling.
Hunting for eggs in the snow outside the church.
Aubrey and Marina finding some eggs.
Mackenzie, enjoying the hunt.
Looking for eggs in the snow bank.
We dyed eggs on Saturday.
On Sunday morning we had breakfast with Martin, Silke, Finn, Kenton, Connie, Kaitlyn, and Jacob. We came home and quickly got dressed for a wonderful Easter service and potluck with the church body and dorm kids afterwards.
A family picture taken after church
Aubrey, Ross, and Mackenzie all dressed up
I think Ross must be tickling Aubrey
Princess blue eyes
Marina and her silly faces!
After church and potluck, we came home and I quickly baked two pies to bring to our friend's house for dinner. We had a great dinner with our wonderful friends Keith and Tabitha.

Kaden and the girls waiting to go outside for another Easter egg hunt!
We didn't have Easter baskets so we improvised with bags.
Here you go Isaiah.
Look Kaden there is one up in the tree.
Finding eggs in the bird feeders
Oooh, burr that is cold, digging an egg out of the snow.
All right! I found the egg!
Finding eggs on our beat up car
Another one on the car.
Aubrey put an egg on Mackenzie's head and the it fell off and I got this shot. Look at Aubrey's face!
The egg hunting crew!
We were sitting around playing games when this moose came right outside the house to eat some frozen cabbage that Keith and Tabitha had thrown out. We were glad it didn't show up during the Easter egg hunt! Moose are common to see here but we don't often get to see them this close. We stepped outside the door and watched it for a bit. So instead of having an Easter bunny, we had a moose show up!
The Kids watching the moose outside on the deck.
I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter!
HE LIVES!
I serve a risen Saviour,
He's in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.
Chorus:
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives
today!
He walks with me and He talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He live, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart.
In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And tho my heart grows weary
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading
Thro' all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
Chorus
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him,
The help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.
Chorus
