When it was time for Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Benni to leave in October, Uncle Reid flew over with a pilot friend to pick them up from Unalakleet. We have been so blessed to have this friend who is willing to give of his time in order to fly or family here and back. Especially since there is not a commercial flight offered between Galena and Unalakleet. Ross' brother Reid is a teacher in Unalakleet so when our family has visited, they have flown in their first since Alaska Air flies into there but not into here. Then a couple different pilot friends have flown them over here and back. We arrived at the airport just in time to see the plane land and drive right up to it. Uncle Reid popped out of the airplane and the girls were so excited to see him that they ran right up to him and gave him a big hug or should I say he gave all three of them a big bear hug. We were sad we couldn't see the rest of Reid's family but were excited to see him for a brief while before Bruce, Benni, Reid, and Tim took off again.
